Nancy Cunard’s Normandy farmhouse Le Puits Carré [The Four-Cornered Well] at La Chapelle-Réanville as at June 2008
Henry Crowder began to live here and help with Hours Press in 1929. The press was moved to Paris in 1930
Trashed by Nazis soldiers while Cunard was in England, she sold Le Puits Carré soon after the war
The main house was destroyed by fire some years ago and the site abandoned
